　　在句中作比较状语的从句称为比较状语从句。比较状语从句一般位于句尾。

　　常用as ... as, not as/so ... as ..., than等结构引导。

　　1. 同级比较。同级比较常用as ... as ...结构。

　　如：

　　1) Water is eight hundred times as dense as air is.

　　水的密度是空气的八百倍。

　　2) The girl is as tall as me.

　　这个女孩和我一般高。

　　2. 不同级比较。常用not as/so ... as ...的结构。

　　如：

　　I am not so young as you think.

　　我没有你想的那么年轻。

　　3. 差级或高级比较。常用... than ...的结构。

　　如：

　　I like the dreams of the future than the history of the past.

　　与过去的历史相比，我更喜欢未来的梦想。

　　4. 比较关系的状语从句。常用“the +比较级……, the +比较级 ……”。

　　如：

　　The more we do, the more we can do.

　　我们做的越多，能做的就越多。

　　1. 比较级前可以有much，far，a bit等词修饰，用来说明比较的程度，也可以用数字说明具体的差距。

　　例如：

　　1) He works much harder than I do.

　　他学习比我努力多了。

　　2) This park is far more beautiful than I expected.

　　这座公园比我所想象得要美得多。

　　3) She is two years younger than I am.

　　她比我小两岁。

　　2. what/as也可以引导对称或对比关系的状语从句。

　　Food is to man what/as oil is to machine.

　　食物之于人，犹如油之于机器。
