Xu Yuanchong, China's most famous translator, died in Beijing at the age of 100 on Thursday,June 17th,2021.
B 1 on April 18, 1921 in Jiangxi, China.Xu is famous for translating Chinese ancient poems into English and French. He devoted(致力) his life to translation for more than 60 years. For him,translated literature(文学) is“a b 2 art for all the world".
His academic career(学术生涯)b 3 during his college years when he studied at the National Southwest Associated University in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
